Is a Water Test necessary?
Water can come from a host of different sources. In our profession we come across water from many different municipalities, deep or shallow wells are only a few sources. Within our service area we have experienced water containing sulfur, excessive hardness, high or low pH levels, Chlorine, iron and hundreds of other things. Just as there are a hundred different impurities, there are as many different ways to take care of them. Treatment options, such as well filters, neutralizers, whole home filters, conditioners, water softeners, etc.
What do you need?
The only way we, or any other company, can know what treatment you need is to first test your water. Purchasing off of the Internet or from a reseller such as Home Depot or local hardware store will not provide you with this service... [Click here to contact us]
But can’t you just tell me right now what I need?
The size of the softener you will need will depend on the usage and hardness of your water. Simmons Plumbing & HVAC can provide with you several water softener and filtration options as well as a host of media tank sizes. We also offer activated carbon filters and reverse osmosis filters.
On any well or other “non-standard” water source, most hardware stores will recommend consulting a professional filtration company prior to the purchase of a filtration system.
We have been called by customers who purchased equipment from somewhere else where the softener was smaller than the size that was actually needed. It is important not only to get a good filtration system, but the right filtration system.
How much will the water test cost?
In many of our local areas the in-home water analysis is FREE if you are on well or city water. What’s the catch? There isn’t one.
Simmons Plumbing & HVAC has been serving the community and surrounding areas for over 30 years. We take pride in our customer service and are loyal to our customers. Testing your water so that we can provide you with the proper equipment is more cost-effective for you and more efficient for us. The benefits of giving you this service for free far outweigh the loss in time and labor should we have to correct the error of not providing you with the correct equipment the first time.
Nowadays, with purchases being easier and “do-it-yourself” instructions over the internet, if we start charging for a water test, many people may go with a cheaper solution that doesn’t fully take care of their needs.
My advice is, to take advantage of the free water test and our expertise. Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions... [Click here to contact us]
